MLV is a high quality vinyl acoustic barrier manufactured in the USA, it is strong and odorless. This Mass Loaded Vinyl Barrier is a one pound barrier, and weighs 1 lb. per square foot. The MLV is applied over the fiberglass installation and beneath the sheetrock. It is an 1/8 of an inch thick and has an STC rating of 27 when hanging by itself. Color is black.
