Amazing antique French Napoleon III or Victorian to early Edwardian era hand carved solid wood 14.5 figural panel or plaque, a detailed rendition of a pastoral painting by Francois Boucher with ornate trolling & seashell accented bordering! One of two marvelous hand carved figural panels that we're adding this week, this one quite amazing in its detail and the fact that it is a carved wood representation of a painting! Fabulous! The plaque at the bottom reads Pastoral De Boucher and I've included a photo of the original painting after which this carving was done. Truly remarkable!

Very good to excellent condition. I really see no flaws to note here, just a stunning piece! Possibly a tiny nip or two to the carving but, as stated, nothing stands out. I've included several enlarged and detailed photos so look and enjoy. See pictures for all measurements.
